Paul Nelson
Paul NelsonFounder
Paul Nelson is a true general practitioner of law. He enjoys practicing what he calls “A to Z law – adoptions to zoning.” He serves clients in Delaware, Chester, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties, with occasional forays into Lancaster and other neighboring counties.

Over the course of a career that spans more than four decades, he has garnered particular insight and skill in a variety of areas. He brings his experience as a former support master, custody master, and equitable distribution master to his family law practice, which includes divorce, support, and custody matters (as well as the aforementioned adoptions). His criminal practice benefits from his experience as a former juvenile court master. Mr. Nelson also has successfully litigated or settled claims against both individuals and international corporations in the following areas: real estate transactions and litigation; business formation, administration, and litigation; contract and other general civil matters; and estate planning, administration, and Orphans’ Court matters.

Mr. Nelson is admitted to practice in all Pennsylvania state courts and the following federal courts: the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He received his law school and undergraduate degrees from Villanova University (J.D., 1970; B.A., 1967). While at Villanova, Mr. Nelson was the first law student in Pennsylvania to prosecute criminal defendants as part of the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office Student Legal Intern Program. Prior to practicing law, he was a cook in the U.S. Army and a substitute teacher for the School District of Philadelphia.

Emily Nelson
Emily NelsonAttorney
Emily’s practice ranges from general litigation to esoteric family law and probate matters. At the beginning of her career, she focused her attention on the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration, estate settlement, business succession planning, and probate, trust and fiduciary litigation. Her experience travels the spectrum of complexity, ranging from sophisticated estate plans for high net worth, to estate planning for the indigent and administration of insolvent estates. Over the years, Emily has found that estate planning and probate litigation matters often reveal other areas in which clients require assistance. To better serve her clients, Emily has expanded her practice to include real estate litigation, general business litigation, and family law matters. One area of particular interest and experience is interstate custody and relocation disputes, with which Emily has had success in resolving, either by settlement or litigation.

Emily is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and California, and is a former member of the Oregon State Bar. She received her B.A. from the Pennsylvania State University in 1992 and her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania in 1998.

Emily serves on the Board of Directors of The Barbara A. Colameco Cancer Transportation Fund, a non-profit organization that provides transportation and other assistance to patients undergoing treatment for cancer.
